You create a report that has Tablix column sorting enabled through a Microsoft Report Viewer 2010 control. If the report is created by using Microsoft Report Viewer Redistributable 2010 or Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, the HTML format of the report does not comply with the following standard in the "Web-based Intranet and Internet Information and Applications" section (1194.22) of the "Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards (Section 508)" document:
(a) A text equivalent for every non-text element shall be provided (For example, "alt", "longdesc" or in element content).
The rendered HTML source does not have a non-text element (for example: tool tip, alt, title) for the sorting button images (sortAsc.gif, unsorted.gif and sortDesc.gif)
Hotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

Restart informationYou do not have to restart the computer after you apply this update. However, you must restart Internet Information Services (IIS) after you apply this update.
To restart IIS, at a command prompt, type the following command, and then press Enter:
Note The old version of the Report Viewer control can be used by web applications until you restart IIS.

File informationThis hotfix installs files that have the attributes that are listed in the following tables. The dates and the times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The dates and the times for these files on your local computer are displayed in your local time together with your current daylight saving time (DST) bias. Additionally, the dates and the times may change when you perform certain operations on the files.
