When you run Microsoft SQL Server 2000 in per processor mode, the SERVERPROPERTY function returns a value of "DISABLED" when it ought to return "PER_PROCESSOR". The NumLicenses argument also returns a value of "NULL" in this mode.

To work around this problem, use the SQL Server 2000 licensing applet located in Control Panel to confirm the current licensing mode.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 2000.
