Symptoms

If you use a client driver such as Usbstor.sys as a composite driver and the driver sends a select configuration request with a configuration descriptor that is different from the descriptor that Usbhub.sys initially retrieved from the device, an error occurs in Usbhub.sys.

Resolution

Windows 2000

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
