Media Player Stops Responding When You Download a File from a URL on Windows XP

When you use Media Player version 6.4 to download a file from a Web site, Media Player may stop responding.


This behavior can occur if a URL is copied into buffers and Media Player does not verify that the URL fits. A URL that is too long results in a buffer overrun vulnerability.
