On your Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 computer, you receive the following error message for Firewall:
You receive the error message in the list of alerts when you click Monitoring in the ISA Server Management console and then click the Alerts tab. If you click the line that contains the error message, the following description appears in the Alert Information section: You receive this error message even when Firewall appears to be working correctly.
Service not responding.
This behavior may occur if ISA Server Control does not receive a keep-alive message from Firewall within the specified time-out. ISA Server Control may not receive a keep-alive message within the specified time-out if the computer is performing CPU-intensive operations.
When the ISA Server computer performs CPU-intensive operations, the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section may be triggered as a false positive.
