To uninstall all components of PerformancePoint Monitoring Server 2007, follow these steps:
  1. Manually remove Dashboard Designer. To do this, use one of the following methods:

    Method 1: Manually delete the Dashboard Designer shortcut on the Start menu

    1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then point to Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007.
    2. Right-click Dashboard Designer, and then click Delete.

    Method 2: In Dashboard Designer, reset file associations

    1. Open Dashboard Designer.
    2. In Dashboard Designer, click the Microsoft Office Button

      , and then click Options.
    3. In the Options dialog box, click the Personalize tab.
    4. On the Personalize tab, click Reset File Associations.

      Note After you perform step d, the Dashboard Designer shortcut on the Start menu is deleted.
  2. Uninstall the main PerformancePoint Monitoring Server program.
    1. Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
    2. In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, click Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 Monitoring Server under Currently installed programs, and then click Remove.

      Note The following operations are performed in step 2b:
      • The program files of PerformancePoint 2007 Monitoring Server are removed.
      • The registry items that are related to PerformancePoint 2007 Monitoring Server are removed.
      • Other related configurations are updated.
  3. Manually remove the PerformancePoint Monitoring Server database and the Microsoft SQL Server logon account that the PerformancePoint Monitoring Server 2007 Setup program created. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Start SQL Server Management Studio, and then connect to the instance of SQL Server 2005.

      Note The instance of SQL Server 2005 hosts the PerformancePoint 2007 Monitoring Server database.
    2. In Object Explorer, expand Databases.
    3. Right-click PPSMonitoring, and then click Delete.
    4. In the Delete Object dialog box, click OK.
    5. In Object Explorer, expand Security, and then expand Logins.
    6. Right-click the SQL Server logon account that you specified as the service identity account for the PerformancePoint Monitoring Server 2007 Web service, and then click Delete.
    7. In the Delete Object dialog box, click OK.
    8. Close SQL Server Management Studio.
  4. Delete the cache files that are used by PerformancePoint Monitoring Server 2007. All related files are in the following folder:
    C:\Documents and Settings\User_Name\Local Settings\Apps\2.0
    Note User_Name represents the user name that you use to log on to the Windows operating system.
