This article describes a hotfix package that contains the latest hotfixes for Microsoft Application Virtualization 5.0 (App-V 5.0) Service Pack 1 (SP1).
Issue 1: Automatic publishing refresh does not function correctlyWhen a user is added to a distribution group, the next automatic publishing refresh does not notice this new or changed distribution group until the user logs off and then logs on again. This problem occurs because App-V uses the membership information from the user's token to determine which packages are applicable. However, the user's token is not updated to include any memberships changes such as additions and removals until the next logoff and logon. Therefore, the user does not receive the packages as expected.
Issue 2: Windows 8.1 supportCurrently, the Application Virtualization server does not support package deployment to Windows 8.1 clients. This hotfix adds App-V 5.0 SP1 support for Windows 8.1 clients.
Issue 3: Management Console scrollingWhen you use the Application Virtualization management console, the scroll bar to enable and disable applications in a package remains at the top of the console. This prevents users from being able to select items at the bottom of the list.
To resolve these issues, apply this hotfix package on the server that is running App-V 5.0 SP1.
