By using the Publication by Wizard feature in Microsoft Publisher 2000, you can create business cards and print them on Avery business card labels (SKU #3612). To do this, follow these steps: 
  1. Start Microsoft Publisher 2000.
  2. On the Microsoft Publisher Catalog screen, click the Publications by Wizard tab, and then click Business Cards.

  3. Click the Plain Paper option, and then click Business Cards.
  4. Click Start Wizard. The wizard prompts you for decisions about the following options:
    1. Design layout
    2. Color scheme
    3. Landscape or portrait orientation
    4. Whether you want a logo, and how many logos per page
    5. Personal contact information
  5. After you set these options, click Finish.
  6. You are now ready to print. On the File menu, click Print, and then click Page Options.
  7. Click Print multiple copies per sheet, and then click Custom Options.
  8. Specify dimensions according to the following table:

    Side margin0.5"
    Top margin0.75"
    Horizontal gap0.5"
    Vertical gap0.5"
    Note The exact margin and gap settings depend on the print driver that you’re using. Small adjustments may be necessary.
  9. Click OK. You’ll notice that the card layout specifies 8 labels per sheet.
  10. Make sure that the Avery business card labels are loaded in your printer’s paper tray, and then click OK.

The Special Paper option is a Paper Direct product. This third-party vendor provides business cards that contain preprinted designs, shapes, and objects. If you print to Avery business card labels, you won’t see any Special Paper options.
