In Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, when you try to use the Create CD/DVD experience to create a CD or a DVD, you may receive the following error message:

Without these updates installed, the UJ-846S drive will correctly recognize DVD-R, DVD-RW, and DVD-RAM discs. However, the drive will not recognize CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD+RW discs.
