BUG #: 11454 (Plato7.x) BUG #: 12339 (Plato7.x)
If you install Analysis Services 2000 RTM after you install Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Microsoft Office XP, when you attempt to browse cubes or process a mining model using Analysis Manager, you may receive the following error messages:
Unable to browse cube 'name'.
If you installed a beta version of SQL Server 2000 SP1 or Office XP, you may see a different error message:
This object structure is not valid (Invalid procedure call or argument)
Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed
If you install Analysis Services 2000 RTM after you install Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2), you will experience the same problem. You may also receive this error message:
Unable to locate cube
The Analysis Services installation overwrites the newer version of Msolap80.dll and Msdmine.dll from SQL Server 2000 SP1 or Office XP with an older version (8.0.194), which causes Msolap80.dll, Msdmine.dll, and Msolap80.rll, Msdmine.rll to be out of synchronization.
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (the Analysis Services Components - Sql2kasp1.exe). For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services version 8.0. This problem was first corrected in the Analysis Services Components of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
If you install Analysis Services 2000 RTM onto a computer that already contains updated client files, such as SQL Server 2000 SP1 or Office XP, you must apply Analysis Services SP1 for this client to work correctly.
