After you review the status of a Scheduled Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cube, you find that the cube was not successfully created. Changes to the OLAP cube may be saved yet a window appears advising that the OLAP cube could not be saved. Additionally, the following Event may be logged in the Application log of the Windows Event Viewer:

This problem may occur after you apply the server-side hotfix for Knowledge Base article Q306290.

The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). To work around the symptoms that are described at the top of this article, manually create the OLAP cube. To do this, follow these steps:

This problem was first corrected in Project Server 2002 Service Pack 1.
