Symptoms

When you click Refresh on the Servers tab in Microsoft SoftGrid Client, the operation is unsuccessful. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
The SoftGrid Client failed to download MIME information from server_name.
The SoftGrid Client encountered an error parsing the specified XML file. Please report the following error code to your System Administrator.
Error code: xxxxxx-xxxxxx05-0000000D
This issue occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • The server type is configured for "Standard HTTP Server," and the path of the .xml file is invalid.
  • The .xml file contains invalid formatting.

More information

To resolve this issue, correct the path of the .xml file. Additionally, review the .xml file and correct the formatting.

Note If you drop the .xml file into most Web browsers, the browser will report the line number and the column of the invalid formatting.
